We had great fun in our class before Halloween.
We made monsters and 3D pumpkins! We also got to decorate some little white pumpkins with different coloured markers. Ms. Bourke got the pumpkins from a farm in Corduff, Lusk, Co. Dublin. The farmer's name is Gerry Arnold and he has a huge farm with loads of different crops! He was kind enough to give us one pumpkin for every boy in the class and some big ones as well. Ms. Bourke carved one of the big ones on the Friday before the holidays. It was kind of green because the crop didn't ripen as well this year but it was actually scarier than the orange ones! We were surprised to learn that there are lots of different types of pumpkins and they're not all orange! |
